Baby name

I'm am 3 months pregnant. My child's father happened to be a one night stand with a friend I made while traveling and unfortunately I have no other way getting ahold of him as we parted ways and I didn't think much of it as I am on birth control. This is important because I know who my child's father is as I haven't had sex with anyone else. He happens to be Japanese...and I was wondering if it'd be inappropriate to give the baby a Japanese name. I've received conflict answers as some think it'll be wrong of me because the baby is only half and i haven't know its father well. Would it be wrong of me to do so?
