Well I'm 18, and I recently went on a date(my first date ever) last Tuesday. I met the guy online in a very safe place(my job). My coworkers were a bit concerned so they made me meet him there and were outside with me when he came to get me. But anyway we went on our date. First we talked for like an hour.  He noticed that I was a bit scared, but he said it was kinda cute and that he understood why. Then we went to see a movie. During the movie he would look at me and eventually he put his hand on my knee and we held hands and rubbed each other arms and stuff.  Then afterwards we headed to my apartment, and he said he enjoyed the movie and all.  We finally got to my apartment  but I didn't have my key and my roommate wasn't home, so he said that it would be okay to come to his place until my roommate got home.  So I did, and we talked somemore  and I met his dog. Then we cuddled and watched Netflix. Then towards the end we made out but he kept stopping because he said he didn't want to go too far since I'm a virgin and new to everything(that was only my third kiss btw and first time making out). So we eventually stopped and he took me home.  Then I texted him like 20 minutes later and told him I had a great time. A couple days later I noticed he never really text me much. He didn't really reply fast and he kinda refused when I asked if we could hang out again soon.  So eventually I asked him why, and if he really enjoyed me on the date.  And he said yeah but he knows I'm new to alot of stuff so he didn't really want to go far because things might not work out with us and he doesn't want to ruin every first experience for me. And I said that there wasn't really a point to going out if he doesn't know if he would ever want to be my first of anything.  We've talked since then but not much. And he never texts first so I'm thinking I scared him away, even though I wasn't trying to.  What should I do?  I know we only went out once but I would really like to know him more and hang out more.  But I also don't want to annoy him or anything if he doesn't want to be with me.  If he never texts first he probably doesn't like me right?  Please help?
