Non hormonal IUD ?

Anyone who has it, what are your experiences? Bonus points if you were also breastfeeding while getting it.

I almost lost my uterus because of paragard. The copper iud embedded itself into my.uterus, causing copper toxicity. Then broke upon removal attempts. I needed surgery to get it out. I'll never do it again.
Fertility awareness and Queen Anne's Lace tincture has been effective since then (4 years ago)

I don’t breastfeed, but I’ve had it for about 4 months now. The first period after insertion was heavy but other than that my cycles have been regular. Sometimes my husband feels it during sex but he says it doesn’t hurt him or anything. I love how I haven’t gained any weight on it and often forget it’s even there. I plan on taking it out in a few months to TTC our final baby then putting it back in since it lasts up to 10 years (I’ve also heard 12 but idk 🤷🏽‍♀️). Assuming I’m able to conceive after I remove it I’d recommend it. Everyone I know who’s had it has liked it.

I got Mirena after my previous pregnancy.
Inserted 6w postpartum. I breastfed until LO was 20 months.
Didn’t get a period for 10 months. Cycles were regular after that.
No issues falling pregnant again once it was removed.
