Question

When can a cervical cerclage be put in? 
I m on progesterone capsules vaginally.
My cervix is 2 and half. 
My gynecologist wants me to go to anatomy scan to let them see also which is next week.. 
Then i have a regular prenatal appointment in August when i ll be 24 weeks and 1 day pregnant Inn Shaa ALLAH .. 
My question is if they decide to put in cerclage at 24 weeks 1-2 days will that be dangerous then? Would be still possible?

They typically don’t do cerclages after 24 weeks. 
2.5 is the max end of a short cervix. If it is less than 2.5 before 24 weeks, that’s when a cerclage is needed.

No advice, but should I get a second opinion then if my midwife said 20  weeks is too late for a cerclage so we're just going to wait and watch it? 1.3 cm long family history of short cervix/cervical insufficiency leading to preterm births... Freaked out, sorry
