Can i give melatonin to my almost 2 year old ?

He doesnt sleep for shit early.. and i have to go to work and im always not sleeping early because of him and im so tired at work that im getting pissed off and mad. All i wanna do is sleep but my son doesnt sleep . He will be 2 in September. I just want to know if its safe people told me about kids melatonin…. But im alittle scared and iffy about it ..

I wouldn’t but You need to talk to his doctor, 
Does he nap during the day? How late? 
You may need to take him to a park and run him around if he isn’t tired 
Also My nephew used to not go down well or use to wake middle of the night and it turns out he was hungry so he got porridge with his night time bottle, it helped him to go down better

You should be scared about it. Melatonin is a hormone and by supplementing it to your kid if he dosent really need it you could be wreaking havoc on his systems. It could also backfire and cause your kid to not produce enough Melatonin naturally...causing you to literally NEVER sleep again once you discontinue it, which you will have to at some point. 
The drug is a miracle for kids who genuinely need it. The only way to find out of they do is to go the the doctor and have a blood panel run. So make an appt and take him in. Talk to the doctor about it.

Yes. I do and got approval from his pediatrician. He’s tiny too, only 3rd % for weight. The 1mg gummies work great when it’s really late and they just won’t sleep!

Ask their doctor. I gave my lo melatonin when he was around 3 for similar reasons. My lo has ADHD and his doctor said it was okay to use just not all the time. I felt guilty about it but mama needs sleep! Lol. 
This is how I used it: melatonin to help him fall asleep earlier, wake him up earlier in the morning, stay up and active all day (make sure they get enough exercise or that can hinder sleep as well), and after a while they don’t need the melatonin to sleep early anymore as they’ve adjusted to the new schedule. I think I used it less than 2 weeks before he adjusted.
