Pre pregnancy detox/cleanses? Just stopped taking the pill.

Question

Is there anything I can take/drink to get the pill out of my system fast?  Or is there a pre pregancy detox/cleanse I should be doing?

There's no such thing as detoxing or manually removing toxins from your body--that's what your liver is for. Toxins are also removed by other organs, like your kidneys. The detoxification trend is a common misconception. Your organs do it for you, and you can't make it happen manually.

I'd just recommend eating very cleanly... lots of colorful veggies, fruit, healthy meats and salmon, and limit processed, sugary junk food.  Of course reduce/eliminate alcohol and caffeine.  Don't be afraid of "healthy fats" like real butter, full-fat dairy and yogurt.  You body needs some fat to be more fertile.  Plus it's great for fetal development.  Take prenatals with folic acid or active folate.  I also take DHA and royal jelly supplements which are good for egg health and fetal development.  I try to eat as though I was already pregnant.  Do the best you can, but don't deprive yourself if you feel like a little coffee or chocolate or a sweet treat every now and then.  Good luck :)
