When did y’all take your kids to the dentist? Should I wait until she has more teeth ? First time mom here.

My dentist likes to see them between 2-3 years old. I took my oldest around 28 months and planning on doing the same with my second. They were able to count, brush and floss her teeth.

AAP and ADA recommends babies see a pediatric dentist within 6 months of their first tooth or their first birthday whichever comes first. Many pediatricians say they don't have to go until age 2 or 3 but I feel thats too late. It establishes good hygiene early on and the more they go the less they are afraid. My daughter saw the dentist for the first time at 9 months old

My dentist doesn’t see them until 3 years old. My insurance doesn’t cover visits to a pediatric dentist and I can’t afford it without insurance so we didn’t go that route. Both of mine did great at their first visits, the hygienists were so awesome with them too.

We started going shortly after his first tooth. Insurance covered it, so why not start getting used to it? He’s perfect when we go now at 3 :)

I have never taken my 3 y/o. He's autistic, nonverbal, and not going to do well so I'm holding off until I see something I am concerned about or he's a little older. 
My youngest I took at 20 months when all his teeth were in.

I took my son right before he turned 2. He also only had like 2 teeth until he was 18 months old or I’d have taken him sooner.
