Child support question

I'm still legally married but the divorce papers have been filed.

My soon to be ex shut our bank account down and told me after the fact. I notified my lawyer and she said he wasn't supposed to do anything until after the divorce and that now he is restricting us financially.

He gives me a check for $2,000 per month starting this month on his terms until he feels like ending it...his words. Just today he called it child support.

Correct me if I'm wrong but how are you going to pay child support yet be married as well as give me $2,000 a month yet in the paperwork claim you only want to give $300 a month for our infant child?

P.s. I was a SAHM until 2 weeks ago, he owns a business. Our bank account showed significant amounts of deposits and the "child support" he gives is about 14% of what was deposited monthly the last 7 months.

I'm not money hungry. I actually told him I'd drop CS if he agreed to my terms on visitation (long story). So I'll make it work regardless.
