Am I keeping the kids cooped up?

Those with 3 or more kids, how often do you go out of the house with the whole family?

I’m trying to explain to my husband how stressful (& expensive) it is to pack everyone up 2-3 times a week to go on these adventures he wants us all to go (walking trails, birdwatching, etc) & that we don’t need to go out that often. I could see once every couple weeks or even once a month but he says I’m keeping the kids “cooped up”😒

The kids go outside to play in the backyard everyday that it’s not raining. I take them on walks around the neighborhood but he says that doesn’t count.

I tell him all the time he can go do this stuff by himself, I have no problem staying home with the kids & he won’t because he wants to “spend time with all of us” but i want to save money AND I just don’t get to enjoy myself when we go out. I’m always the default parent. I’m always the one to stay back with the stroller.
