Social anxiety

I don’t really know how my social anxiety got so bad. I was a really outgoing kid and I had a supportive family and great teammates in all the sports I participated in. Fast forward to now and I get panic attacks whenever I’m around more than 5 people and I obsess over everything I say and do. I g we nervous even ordering in a restaurant. How can I work to overcome this? And therapy isn’t an option for me because I can’t afford it (my insurance doesn’t cover it and I can’t spend money out of pocket on it).
