Money and pregnancy
I’m a little worried about money as I’m pregnant for the first time. Luckily I’m a saver and I’ve always been conscious about saving money.
So far I have almost 14K saved up for long term savings in case we ever need it. As soon as I found out we were pregnant, I’ve been saving 150 a month for supplies for when baby comes for anything we may need. So far I only have a few hundred saved but I also am early in my pregnancy. I also have 1600 for emergency’s. And another 1200 in another savings for house work that my fiancé and I can use since we have some projects coming up. This doesn’t include the money I save to my 401k each month and then I’m luckily enough to save 16 percent of my income as well, which may change and I may lower it since baby is coming.
We both have decent jobs with good benefits so that is helpful. And my fiancé is taking up a second job on the weekends for extra money before baby comes. I also have very very generous parents who literally will help with anything financially and are in the position to do so.
I want to possibly make more income, like a side hustle but not sure exactly what I should do or how. I just want to make sure I’m case we are in trouble, we will be okay. Any financial advice?
