can you start off your baby on gentle formula?

i have a few sample cans of enfamil gentlease and a few of the regular enfamil neuropro in the yellow can. 
i figured i’d start my baby off on the gentle formula to avoid switching in case he has a sensitive stomach. i’m due in 20 days so i’m just trying to check my options!

The hospital had Enfamil Neuropro and we stayed on that until he had to switch because of a CMPA and had to go dairy free.

You can. But basically whatever the hospital gives you is what you should stay on. Hospitals in my state use similac. Some other states nesr by use gerber etc. It just depends what they start him on
