Sex during labor?

I didn't try it, but I read it can help with labor pain. Has anyone tried it and did it help?

You aren't supposed to have sex if you're in active labor.. especially if your water has broken

My opinion I have too much going on to have sex during labor. Interesting though, I know it helps to start labor but I've never heard of it during labor.

No I would never try it for some reason when I'm in labor it hurts for Drs to stick a finger in me and I don't want to b touched in labor don't touch my belly leave me alone I don't think it wud help

I had never heard of it either until I came across an article on unassisted at home birth and it brought up all the benefits of having sex while in labor. I know when I was in labor it was the last thing on my mind lol.

If your water has broken it would definitely be a big no no. They don't let you do anything after that because you are open for bacteria and infection. Sex is supposed to bring on labor and that may have been what they meant but it didn't work for me.

I don't think that's recommended. The risk of infection is pretty high, with your cervix open and especially if your water had broken. Also, NO WAY WOULD I EVER WANT TO HAVE SEX DURING LABOR! it's the least sexy thing ever, and I don't want to associate sex with that pain!
