Had Gd with baby 2 might have it with baby 3

Mal

I'm 5 weeks pregnant and begun monitoring my blood sugar levels like a hawk with baby 3. Knowing this time I'm more likely to have gd as I'm 37 regardless and I had it once already so I know what to do. I test fasting of course that's been 108, 109, and 110 the last 3 mornings. I test before AND after meals. Knowing your premeal levels help you keep an eye on carbs better during the meal and helps with after meal levels, and I check before bed. If my blood sugar is below 125 but above 110 I will only drink water if I'm feeling a bit hungry or munchy. Hope this helps. I was on fast acting insulin with my second son.

Thanks for sharing I amGoing to get pregnant hopefully soon with a second baby (through ivf) and I had mild gd last time (they didn’t diagnose me because my numbers were too low but I def had it). My blood sugar issues didNot go away after pregnancy. And I’m terrified for another pregnancy because I know it’s going to be hard to control.

You are welcome. I still had blood sugar issues after my second baby boy. If you develop full blown gd you are always welcome to talk with me. I have a friend who is a type 1 diabetic so I already knew some of what it could be to have diabetes. My husband's cousin is a type 2 diabetic after she had her daughter. I'm watching my sugars very close even though the diabetes Dr said not to worry about sending them my blood sugars right now.
