Need help with planning out room space!! Going crazy!
Ok ladies I need help PLEASE! Trying to figure out our new living arrangements. (We’re waiting to get back to house hunting in the spring) so for now we need to stay in our 850 sqft 2 bedroom townhome. So my idea was to give the kids the whole upstairs because they’re ALWAYS fighting and I’m sure it’s because they only have the one room to try and share and play in (even though it’s the biggest room in the house. So.
MY IDEA was to
1. Give our oldest (12 n autistic) his own room (the smaller room) and have our youngest (6) share with the baby and also have that be the play room while hubby and I sleep on the pull out couch. The only con to this is my youngest doesn’t like sleeping alone and would constantly be waking me up to try n come in my bed since baby isn’t due till February.
2. Continue to let the boys share a room, put their bunk beds back together to give them more space, put the mini crib in the smaller room along with the boys extra toys. Again hubby and I in the living room. The only con with this is again my youngest, he sleeps with the dog EVERY NIGHT if he’s on the top bunk he can’t sleep with the dog which again could equal to him constantly waking me up.
3. I put the bunk bed and a dresser in the small room for the boys, basically just for sleep and maybe a little play (it’s a small room). Put the crib, baby dresser and alllllll the toys in the big room for them to play in and me and hubby on the pull out.
4. Hubby and I keep our room (the smaller one) put the mini crib with us, keep the boys in the room together and stack the bunk bed up, get rid of their dresser and put their clothes in the closet. The con with this is they’re only getting a tiny bit of extra play space.
Hubby was allllll for my idea of sleeping in the living room until it came time to actually do it when we were out looking at couches 🙄
Now he doesn’t want to give up our room. MIND YOU we are only in it to sleep and have sex. Literally that’s it. Also he’s third shift so he sleeps during the day but he can also sleep through anything which is why I know he’ll be fine in the living room because with the kids having alllllll of upstairs that’s where they’d be most of the day anyway unless it’s tablet time.
The only con with this is we have no space for a baby swing or bassinet if we sleep in the living room.
I’m getting frustrated because I want this all done now while I have the energy but idk which one seems best to fit everyone’s needs. Anyone with a small home and 2 or more kids please help a girl out!!
