How many baby bottles should I buy?

As many as you want, but I wouldn't buy all one brand. Your baby may not take a certain brand of bottle, so it would be a shame to buy 10 avent bottles & your baby only want to drink out of dr browns, vice versa, etc. Id honestly buy a few single bottles of different brands so you & your baby can try out different types.

9!!! at least of the small 4oz bottles. I only want to clean bottles once a day. If you plan to bottle feed from the beginning, pick a brand and stick with it! Baby will adjust :) If you plan to breastfeed and introduce a bottle, you’ll need to try different bottles. Comotomo and Tommie Tippie are most recommended for breastfed babies.

I use to have a ton of bottles, but I pared it down to just 9.
I have 3 plastic bottles that I use for traveling outside the home, and I have 6 glass bottles for home. I prefer the glass because they're very durable, antibacterial, and in my opinion easier to clean. I got a 3 pack on sale at Target of glass bottles for I think less than $25. My hope is if we have another baby one day the glass bottles should be still good in a few years versus worrying about decomposition of the plastic ones and trapping odors/stains/etc.
And also, yes, they're super durable! I keep meaning to get silicone covers for them but I'm forgetful. My son likes to drop them on tile becaude he likes the noise, but I haven't had one break yet.

Definitely depends on the situation. I hate washing bottles and also have to have a set at daycare so I’ll probably have a lot than normal so I’m not constantly washing them.

I recently counted all the bottles we had from our last pregnancy and we had 10. I remember Daycare always needed 2-3 on hand plus as baby got bigger we needed a bigger size bottle 😆 so we accumulated a lot of bottles in the end

Depends how often you want to be washing. I used a formula pitcher so a pack of 6 was plenty as I washed twice a day after every 3 bottles.

I bought 9 so I could not wash them all throughout the day, and only at night which is best for my situation and pumping- to only do a bottle wash once a day since there is already SO MUCH from pumping and feeding and it’s such a tedious task. If you have the time to do more bottle washes throughout the day, I would do 3-6.

It depends on your plan. If you’re exclusively bottle feeding you need at least a days worth so maybe 8-10. We have like 30+ and that works for us because we don’t like to do dishes every day.

Are you bottle feeding exclusively or part of the feeds or just have some on hand in case nursing exclusively is difficult?  I nursed mostly and had some milk stored in case I needed a break or we were out for bottle feeding.  I found 1 set of bottles was enough.  But to start will probably look at 1-2 days worth to start.
 It would also depend on how often bottles will be washed.  I washed them almost right away because I hated when milk got dried in them and I would assume formula would be similar.  So again don’t need a lot.

The more the better. You’ll probably need the time for other things. Try to get enough to do bottles once a day.
