Did you receive a “12 week ultrasound”?

Trying to find out if it’s standard to not look at baby at 12 weeks. My first pregnancy we did. But this one I’m doing the Nipt today so I guess they are foregoing the NT scan and ultrasound to check on baby? Idk. Seems weird.

My doctor told me the NIPT testing is more accurate than an NT scan so she doesn’t do them

Only reason I had an ultrasound at 12 weeks is because my dr couldn’t find baby girls heartbeat in office with the doppler, and he was able to find it the week before so we had to make sure baby was okay.  I also had the NIPT this time, and was not able to/wasn’t offered the NT scan.  I guess no need. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I did with my prior 3 pregnancies,  but this one with the NIPT, they say that the next scan isn't until the anatomy scan at 20 weeks. Kinda upset about not being able to see my baby again for a while, but I guess it is what it is.

I didn’t with my first two but this one we did due to checking for some genetic things but luckily all is well. Normally I only have one around 7-8 weeks, 20 weeks and then around 36 weeks.

I had a “dating” ultrasound done at 11 weeks but that was mainly because I don’t have consistent periods after my last pregnancy so they needed to get a ball-park due date. But it wasn’t a diagnostic scan, I won’t have an ultrasound until 20 weeks and then I’ll have another one done at 36 weeks to check positioning but those will be the only ultrasounds.

Seems like it’s normal. Thanks for all the responses. We did 8week quick ultrasound for heartbeat. And I figured we would do NT scan but they asked which I’d prefer between that and NIPT and I’d rather have the Nipt so didn’t do ultrasound. Did listen for heartbeat with Doppler and also said we could skip week 16 if I wanted it would just be a checkup and instead come back in 7 weeks at 19.5 for anatomy and 20 week check up. I’m fine with that I guess I just feel like I had more ultrasounds with my 7 year old. But it’s been a while.

I had an ultrasound at 6 weeks, 8 weeks. And today at 12w3d. And no I I'm not high risk, not a special case. If you want an ultrasound sooner you can always request one, and if you're denied, find another provider to get one.

Already 14/15 weeks pregnant and still haven't had a single appointment, Dr office is so overbooked that my appointments keep getting cancelled and rescheduled. Ended up calling a local pregnancy center to schedule a for cash ultrasound.

I had an US at 8 weeks then at 10 followed by NIPT testing. My dr specifically said we would skip 12 weeks since everything was fine with my first pregnancy. My next appointment is supposed to be at 16 weeks, next US won’t be until 20 weeks

We did NIPT and the NT scan. They didn’t ask us if we also wanted to do the NT scan, just had us schedule it.
