HSV ll Outbreaks/Nerve Pain

I have had herpes sv two for about four years now. Since I started getting outbreaks I have had one almost every time I get my period, or anytime I have been extremely stressed. Both of these I understand are symptoms of hsv two. When I get outbreaks I get the typical nerve pain down the back of the leg from the butt cheek, along with sensitivity. And I experience this 2-3 days before I even see a sore, which typically shows up around my taint or vaginal lips. Again all of which I understand come with the herpes.

My question for others is this: Have you found anything to remedy the outbreak pain? The nerve pain and sensitivity really get to me and I am just curious if anyone has found anything to help.

My second question: Is there anything I can do to prevent outbreaks from continuously happening?
