College student help

My Goddaughter is a sophomore in college (yay her) and she’s thinking of taking a course, offered on Wednesdays only from 7pm until 10:00pm. The college is an hour commute both ways from her dorm. We live in Houston, she’s in college in Texas an hour away but the class is an hour in the opposite direction. This is obviously a decision she has to make for herself, she did ask me my opinion and approve my posting here for other prospectives.

My opinion: 10pm is a bit late to be out in an area you’re not familiar with alone. Also having to be back up for a 6am class it’ll be a bit much.

Her mother has chosen to plead the fifth 😅
