How soon can you get pregnant after miscarriage ?

hey ladies . So I had my DNC on July 28th.. I’ve been hearing stories of women becoming pregnant right after a miscarriage? I spoke to my OB and he confirmed but he wanted me to relax for a good two weeks… so now I’m back to work, feeling better physically and mentally. We gave it a test try and the next day, I was bleeding .. I wasn’t sure if it was my period or left over blood .. I had initially stopped bleeding for those two weeks then once we attempted sex again.. it started , it wasn’t long though .. the bleeding stopped after the second day.. but if anyone experience this or did in-fact get pregnant right after a miscarriage, can you share your story/journey … we’re taking a break for the weekend but do plan to start back up sometime late next week . ( if I’m up to it )

I had a mmc in october 31 2011 and had a d&c for that mmc. When I went to my follow up a week later my doctor gave us the go ahead to try again right away if we felt up to it. I never got my period and I had a positive pregnancy test by the first week of November. I did have some bleeding at around 7 weeks I even thought I was having another miscarriage but she is now 10 years old and I didn't have other issues the rest of that pregnancy.

My doctor recommend three cycles before we tried again but we started as soon as the bleeding stopped. As long as you’re not bleeding and you’re feeling ready to try again I don’t see why you should wait. Unless your doctor specifically told you wait a certain time I’d say whenever you’re ready you’re good to go

After my D&C my Socorro had me on pelvic rest for two weeks (no sex) and then once bleeding stopped said we were fine to try again. Waiting multiple cycles is more commonly recommended after multiple miscarriages or if there are concerns of complications, otherwise it is safe to try before your next cycle. If you are still experiencing bleeding after sex I would contact your doctor though. My partner and I chose to wait a few cycles to try again, but that was more for emotional reasons. Good luck.
