Implantation or Period?

So I've been irregular since March. I've finally thought I've been back on a normal 30 day cycle til today. AF was due yesterday and a no show. Then today I see spotting. Not even enough to wear a liner. It's been like this all day no change. Only see it here and there when I wipe. Any opinions on what could be going on? Is it AF or implantation? I've never spotted before AF started.
