Late period negative test

So my husband and I have been going through a lot in our relationship. He’s been trying really hard to get me pregnant all month long. He’s said it to me on multiple occasions this month. Everyday we’ve been intimate. I don’t know his reasoning for trying so hard but I think part of his reason is to give his family an excuse to be with me or to feel needed again. I’m not sure what is going through his head, but I missed my period yesterday and it usually comes like clock work every month. I took a test a few hours ago and it was negative.

Now, I’m sad because I want to give him another child. But, I know having another child isn’t going to fix our problems. I don’t want to complicate our already complex marriage anymore than it already is, but I feel bad that I didn’t conceive this month. It’s been officially 24 hours since my missed period. Im really tired and having cramps.

The urine was third morning urine which was really scant cause I literally had just went before testing. I know I’m not pregnant test would be positive right now. Just really disheartening…
