Is it possible to have severe back pain and have contractions and it not cause you to dilate? I never dilated with my first and she went into distress and ended in an emergency C-section at 35 weeks. I’m currently 35 weeks in the hospital because I was a little dehydrated so they figured that’s what caused my contractions and back pain. (I’ve been contracting since 29 weeks). I’m not dilated. But these are more painful than any of the other contractions I’ve had in the month I’ve been having them. If dilation is what causes the contractions to hurt then what’s going on? Maybe my cervix is just useless and isn’t going to dilate anyways. Idk. I’m annoyed and in pain. The meds only help for a short time and then it starts back up and I’m exhausted.
