Cheating or no?

My boyfriend has had very sketchy behavior recently that are new 
I asked friends for advice they all say major red flags 🚩 he’s cheating
He is always over explaining everything 
Like you can text my parents they’ll confirm I was at dinner!
I asked him if he was 
He said I’m a single father working 40 hours a week that’s your opinion if you think that
Could this mean he is?

Over explaining doesn’t make you a cheater. Being questioned or accused of cheating is likely the reason for his last answer you.

It depends if you are always asking him and suspecting him then that is why he says those things. Like if feels that you don't believe him so you should ask the parents. And if I reassured my SO that I'm with him and love him and he would still insist I would say the same thing. I would tell him that if that is what he thinks of me then so be it. Because there are just so many times you can try to convince your SO, if they don't want to believe you then there is nothing you can do. And it's super frustrating and insulting to be accused eventhough you haven't done anything.

I don’t think over explaining makes you a cheater. As a former DV survivor, I have PTSD and anxiety from DV and I have tendencies to over explain or say things like “When I get there I’ll even send a pic or I can share my location so you know where I am”. It’s kind of a habit for me since I was subjected to it for over 9 years. Maybe if he starts acting sneaky and starts acting accusatory for no reason towards you, I would say is some signs.

Not necessarily. Sometimes people over explain when they feel defensive. I do that and get very defensive when people are accusing me of things I’m not doing. Why don’t you trust him?￼

My ex started to over explain everything all of a sudden and I thought it was so weird. And I told him he didn’t need to and I didn’t really want to to every little detail about what he’s doing or need proof. He was cheating. I think he thought if it seemed like he explained what he was doing and where he was in such detail then it would seem like there’s no way he cheated idrk
