Is this fair?
Edit- I would love to nap when my baby naps during the day but it isn’t possible right now because he sleeps for only about 45 minutes at a time in his bassinet, and I can’t fall asleep that quickly. He will sleep for 3 hours straight if he’s sleeping on me but I can’t sleep like that because it’s unsafe.
My husband works 7am-330pm. I am currently home home maternity leave. Until now I’ve been doing 100% of night feedings/changings/etc but I’ve been getting very little sleep so I asked my husband and to wake up at 4am and be on baby duty from 4am until 6am when he needs to get ready for work. That way I know I’ll get 2 hours of uninterrupted sleep, unless I have to feed the baby.
During the day I’m obviously home all day with the baby and I do housework when I can. My husband gets home at 415 and does baby stuff or housework and let’s me nap if needed until we go to bed at 8pm.
I just want to make sure this seems fair? He has no free time anymore but neither do I, except when he lets me nap in the evenings.
