Is it to late to change my daughters name?😫

I dont really like it anymore because everyone is copying me now idk why… i know some people that have the name … she’s already 5 months old. I dont care if i have to pay i just dont like her name anymore…. I want another name i have in mind where can i go and change it

Why do you think people are copying you? Names aren’t something that can technically be copied chances are that you weren’t the first one to come up with the name. But if you want to change it i wouldn’t say it’s to ‘late’ but people will question why the change

If you change your child’s name every time you come across someone with the same name, you’ll be changing it daily. Nobody is “copying” you.

I changed my daughter's name when she was 7-8 months old, I just reached out to my local court house and they directed me where to go. Only had to pay $20, if you change it before 6 months then I was told it's free. I just had to fill out the paperwork online, print it and go and get it notarized, sent it in with a money order and waited almost a year to get the new birth certificate because they were so backed up from covid. I just got her birth certificate the other day and will be going to the SS Office to get her a new card and will be changing it everywhere else. It was so worth the wait and so happy my husband agreed to the name change.

Chances are you heard it elsewhere and liked it so that’s why you chose it… it’s how names are usually chosen. Also names become popular, it’s not about them copying you it’s about that name being a current trend.
I’m Hannah and there were 2 other Hannah’s in my class but I never come across any little Hannah’s now… it’s just how it is, may become popular again one day, who knows!

I mean..you can change it if you want but your reasoning isn't really clear here. You want to change it becuase people are "copying" you? So if you change it and then someone uses the name you've changed it to, are you going to want to change it again? It's your kids name, not a haircut. 🤣
