IUD while pregnant

So I just found out yesterday I was pregnant. I have an iud so obviously something was wrong. I went to the doctor and they told me my iud got pushed up into my cervix and it is embedded there. My doctor was unable to remove it due to this and said I would have to get it surgically removed but they don't want to do this while I'm pregnant. He said he's never had this happen and is unsure of how it is going to go, obviously I'm freaking out lol but they said the pregnancy looks good and is in the uterus and don't believe it will be an issue with my iud still in my cervix. Has anyone else ever had this happen?
