How to confirm ovulation with PCOS?

I have PCOS and my periods are all over the place, sometimes 3-4 months apart. I’ve always suspected that I dont ovulate, but obviously I’m not sure. I’ve never been to the doctor for any fertility tests or anything to confirm.

I’ve never tracked ovulation either, I’ve never used opk’s or anything.

I want to start tracking properly, but I’ve been told OKP’s arent good for PCOS as it will give you a positive reading because of the hormones, but you might not actually release the egg. Is this true?

I’ve heard about taking your temperature as well? Is that the same kinda thing with PCOS?

Is there a way I can actually for sure confirm I ovulate and release eggs from home? Or is this only something a doctor can do?
