Thursday my husband and I rescued a kitten that was THROWN OUT OF A CAR WINDOW in front of our business. I took her to the vet that night after work and they gave her medicine to kill all her fleas the poor thing was covered. I was told in 2 hours fleas and eggs would die. Yesterday morning I saw a flea alive on her. Called the vet and asked what to do. Gave her 3 dawn dish soap baths to make sure I killed everything! Vacuumed my carpets and couch and washed all blankets from the area she was in with extra hot water and dried on high heat. Well I just found another alive flea, it was on a shirt i was about to throw in the washer. I read it only takes 2 to create an infestation and now I’m freaking out. I just sent my husband to the store to buy flea home spray. I’ve never in my life had to deal with fleas, our pets get medication. I’m going only off of what I’ve read on google to nip this in the bud. I have a 5mo and do not want him getting bit by a nasty ass flea. Does anyone have any tips to make sure my house is clear before this gets out of hand?! I feel like I’m being punished for saving this stupid cat 😂 she’s lucky she’s cute.
