Brown blood after period

Do you ladies still count these days as a cycle day? I usually consider my period as done once the brown blood starts coming…. But I’m just realizing, have I been counting my cycle days all wrong?!

For example, my period is heavy cycle day 1&2, then on day 3 it is very light. By day 4, I consider my period done. And then i spot “brown blood” for another 2-3 days… is my period actually 6-7 days after all? Instead of only the 3 days I’ve been counting it as.
