Per the new bar, Medicaid DOES still cover gender-affirming therapy by licensed therapists and psychologists, as well as any psychiatric treatment needed.

Patients CAN pay out of pocket for surgery or hormones. Patients CAN utilize employer insurance or private for these medical treatments as well. It is strictly a Medicaid ban.

For those not in the US- Medicaid is the medical coverage for those who do not have insurance thru an employer or those who cannot afford health insurance.
