Metformin??

My doctor put me on metformin and said it would make my eggs softer. The nurse said it would help me produce more. Which is true or what does it actually do to help? Also do the side effects get better?

Neither it not a fertility treatment it’s insulin medication that can sometimes help women with pcos have regular cycles in return it *might kick ovulation to start again* I have been on metformin for years now it has made my cycles regular every 28/32 days but don’t ovulate that often so now I’m on clomid to help ovulate (which I now think I’m clomid resistant).

Metformin is not a fertility medication, it’s an anti diabetic medication that’s helps with insulin issues. It can help regulate you cycle, which regulates ovulation and gives women who normally don’t a better chance at pregnancy
