Breastfeeding supplementation?

Hey there. 
Was just wondering if anyone had to pump and bottle feed as well as nursing. 
My little one is about a week old nursing great she was a little low birth weight but almost back up to birth weight. 💪💪. 
Was wondering if anyone had to pump after nursing sessions and feed expressed every feed? If so when did you have to stop?

You shouldn’t have to be doing that at all. It is very very common for baby not to get back up to birth weight until 2wks old. Pumping on top of nursing can easily send your body into over supply and you don’t want that at all, as it can cause many many issues. Topping off with a bottle after nursing is also not advised.

I pump and bottle feed and nurse! I only nurse or pump every two-three hours. So my breasts are getting emptied the same amount of time generally.

Doesn’t sound like this is needed at all for your little one at all.
Weight doesn’t need to be considered until 2 weeks. Most babies lose weight in the first week and gain it back the second week. Babe just needs to be back at birth weight by 2 weeks old.
For example, my daughter was born 4lbs 11oz. She dropped to 3lbs 13oz by day 5. She weighed 4lbs 12oz by 2 weeks. She was only given breast milk. It was pumped and fed the first week because she was in the nicu on a feeding tube, but was exclusively latched all of week 2. She lost more than 10% and never needed top ups or formula.
It’s best to just latch on demand. Re-evaluate at 2w if need be.
