I’m a first time mom and newly single mom. I’m working full time and I have a 6 month old baby. Me and my baby girl recently moved cross country (leaving most of our stuff behind) and I’m re-nesting. I have soo much to do and so little time.

I recently hired a part time babysitter to watch my baby while I work. I want to ask her to help with other things while she isn’t with the baby but Idk what’s appropriate to ask for. For context, I take breaks from work to breastfeed my baby so my babysitter has something like 3 breaks that are 15 min long and 2 breaks that are 45 min. My baby doesn’t cry with her so it’s not super intense when she is working.

Here’s some things that I need to do now that I’d love to have help with….

- unloading the dishwasher

- rearranging dishes in the kitchen cabinet

- wiping a couple kitchen cabinet shelves

- wiping thick, wood blinds from 1 window

- sanitizing the baby’s toys

- unloading the dryer with baby’s clothes

- sorting the baby’s clothes by size

- wiping down the washing machine

What’s appropriate for the babysitter to help with?
