I graduated late June and now it’s September and I’m still unemployed. (Taking a gap year before starting college). I’ve applied to every job in my area (I live in a small town in a rural area so it’s not like I have mountains of options) but none have called me back. I haven’t had a job previously because I had to babysit my siblings after school while my parents worked. I get since I have no prior work experience I don’t look good but I’m applying to jobs like McDonald’s and dollar stores so I didn’t expect to have this much trouble. Is there anything I can do? Is this normal that it’s taking so long?
