Why do people feel the need to rush into getting engaged/married..? If you love someone why does it matter when they ask you to marry them? My fiancé and I were together for 2 1/2 years when we got engaged, it was so unexpected! I always knew we would grow old together, getting engaged hardly crossed my mind! I'd be happy with him with or without a ring on my finger.

My husband and I were together 5 years before getting engaged and 6 years before getting married. Ya know what I would have kept waiting because I love that man no matter what. There was no pressure on our relationship that it had to happen before a certain day
