Should we still announce our pregnancy with baby #2?

I’m torn on what to do… we were going to tell my parents tomorrow that we are pregnant with baby #2. Two days ago my grandpa (dads dad) had a stroke and is in the hospital. We are all going to visit tomorrow before we go to another family event. I’m torn on if we should still tell them or wait now. I’m sure some happy news would be great, but I don’t want to take any attention away from my grandpa and his condition right now. What would you do?

So I voted wait because right now everyone’s focus, at least your dads focus, is primarily on his own dads recovery. And while I’m sure the family could use a pick me up and they’d be happy for you, your grandpas condition might dull their excitement. 
Ig if you were to announce it now, I wouldn’t make it a big deal. But that’s not fair to you. You should be able to make it a big deal if that’s what you want. Like a cute pregnancy reveal. Because it’s certainly something to be celebrated! But again, at this time, only you can gage, whether your dad would feel like it’s insensitive or would he be equally as excited? Just something to consider. 
So if you have any reservations about announcing your second pregnancy, the day your grandfather is discharged from the hospital or perhaps a couple days after, that would probably be the best time to share the news! At that point, everyone’s stress levels will have decreased, grandpa will be settled back in at home, and everyone will be elated that not only is grandpa is on the mend but your family is growing and he’ll be around to meet the new addition!
