We are buying a new build. Unfortunately, the developer hasn’t been very forthcoming with info, and completing has been pushed back from April, to June, to September… an all around disaster for school, work and planning family life. We don’t have contact directly with the developer, and so the contact is through the estate agents… they are aware that we are upset with the developers lack of clarity on pretty much everything - being told just a few weeks before completion that it will be another few month each time. Living out of boxes, now living out of storage. We are supposedly completing next week…. But we haven’t had an update from anyone for 2 weeks… (before that it was over a month) each time I call the estate agents, it goes to an answer machine. I decided to call using my mothers mobile (different number) and it got answered straight away. It is obvious to us that they are don’t rent to deal with us and I suspect that they have blocked or black listed my number and are withholding information from any update they’ve had from the developer since we complained about them 3 months ago.

Whilst I’ve complained to the estate agents about the developers, I want to complain about them too - but really what proof do I have? How will that effect our purchase?
