Will I be considered AMA?

If we’re able to get pregnant within the next handful of months, I will be 34 for some or most of the pregnancy. However, I will be 35 at the time of birth.
Looking online, it seems like I would probably still be considered AMA (advanced maternal age) since I’d be 35 at time of delivery. What have you all be told??

Here yes you’d be ama. It’s 35 and over at time of delivery. Just means you have access to more tests if you want ‘em.

I think it depends on your doctor. I turned 35 3 months prior to giving birth and perinatal specialist (my 20wk ultrasound showed issues with baby’s kidneys so I was referred to a specialist to monitor) I saw referred to me as AMA however my midwife and obgyn did not.

Honestly it doesn’t seem to be as big a thing as it used to be anyway. I’m 38 and have never once been told anything or had anything done differently because of AMA. I see a MFM specialist because I’ve developed heart issues but before that everything was exactly the same. I was surprised because my older sister was 36 when she was pregnant 12 years ago and everyone acted like she was methuselah and her whole body could shut down at any moment (she had a normal healthy pregnancy).
