So confused! Did the BD last night - chance of ovulation?

I tested on 9/7 and it looked like I might be close, but we didn’t have sex. Then we had birthday parties and school stuff and I forgot to test. Last night we ended up having sex so I did an ovulation test this morning. My tests look exactly the same, so I’m confused if i ovulated? My cycles are such a mess and so random. I get hot flashes all the time, so tracking my temp is difficult, too. I guess my question is, can I be hopeful that I was ovulating when we had sex last night?
