Boyfriend Ex calling

How do I handle my boyfriend ex girlfriend of five year keeps calling him. He’s told her that she can’t call and that he’s in a relationship. She says she don’t have no one else to talk to but he said that’s not his problem. He reassured me he doesn’t have any love for her and he’s over her. However, he says he wanna do whatever to make me comfortable and if he wants me to block her he will. I don’t like that he has to ask, I feel like she should have been blocked regardless since this is the second time he’s told her to stop calling. I trust him, I love him, we have plans together and want a future together. However, it’s like he won’t block her unless I say so. I didn’t tell him to block her because if she calls again, I will say something to her and he better not have a problem with that. If he does then it’ll show it’s more going on than he’s telling me. As of now, we spoke about it and we’re moving past this but I’m watching even closer now. Any advice? Or just observations?
