Pain when losing my virginity

Hi, I was just wanting to know if anyone has gone through this and can give me some tips/advice! I tried losing my virginity a couple of days ago and it was a struggle. My pain tolerance is in the gutter so I knew it would be somewhat painful but I didn’t expect this much pain. I was a little dry so we used a bunch of lube, a vibrator, and other methods of foreplay. I also knew that he wasn’t going to get in on the first try. He was able to get somewhat deep with his fingers which hurt but after a while the pain went away. Once he put his penis in it hurt too much to continue. He barely got the tip in. We even tried different positions. Do I need to see a doctor or do I just try to get through the pain?
