Parents of bilingual kids. Did your child start talking

My son is about to turn 2, and his vocabulary in both languages is quite limited. He’s not connecting words yet either. My mom blames it on two languages but Im following a lot of SLPs on Instagram and they all say, that the kid should hit his speech milestones regardless of being bilingual. But people I know say their bilingual kids started talking later… 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️
