Ex husband and boyfriend..??

I know alot of people are probably going to put hate messages on here which is whatever I want personal opinions.. so I was with my husband  which we are still technically married we where together  for 11/12 years somewhere in that time frame.. he took my virginity we have two children together.. we are now separated and we both have other people I have a boyfriend and he has a girlfriend.. it's not that we didn't want to split up we just did not get along .. we tried making it work for the kids.. but we grew apart from each other..so I now have a boyfriend  and he now has a girlfriend  we have been separated for over 2 year.. but I'm not sure if it's still love that I have for him or what but I still feel like I have some sort of connection for him that I can't get to go away... not sure if he feels the same way or not .. we haven't talked about getting back together since we split.. and now I have a boyfriend  that I have been with for a year and some odd month.. I feel the same way I did with my ex as I do with previous ex with new boyfriend  like we are drifting apart... like we are arguing all the time... anyone else have this happen or simular story's? If so how did you go about it and what do I do? Please help

Sounds like you need to be alone for some time. Focus on self-love and self-care and being a mother to your children. And you will always be connected to the father of your children, so I don't know why is that even a question; it is automatic as long as he wants to be around for the children. Good luck to you.

Connections abs feelings with past husbands are common because you all built history together ( kids a life etc..) But perhaps you only like the idea of him. As for you new bf, if you are feeling lost of connection again or losing feelings, perhaps you need to be single for awhile and find out what you want. Going back and forth between relationships is not healthy  for you or your kids. Maybe you should get some time alone or seek counseling on how to find out what those feelings mean or why you don’t feel secure in your relationships. You say you argue a lot with your new boyfriend as well. That’s going to happen in any relationship and you have to realize there is no perfect couple. Arguments, disagreements and the love flame going out in a relationship happens to most couples. It’s normal but that’s why you have to work and fight your relationship or marriage. That’s why love is work. If there is something else going on inside yourself and you can’t figure it out then it’s time to be alone and work on that part.

Was in a similar situation myself 5 years ago married for 15 years 1 child and we separated he got a new partner and I found that a hard pill to swollow so I got myself out there and found a man to which sent my ex into a crazy spiral of wanting the relationship back, I didn’t quite understand as he had a gf and I guess he just didn’t like to see me with someone other then him.
5 years have passed now and where both still with our partners although i often do think of him and our marriage wen we was together but I think it’s normal to have those feelings, you spent along time with that person and tried to build a life with them, shared experiences and grown with them and then it all ends with a click of a finger, I think we all miss what we no longer had and we grieve the relationship to an extent

Don't worry, he's the father of your children, not to mention your first. As these two things he will always have a place in your heart. It's natural. It may be best to be friendly with each other, though I doubt it would be in anyone's best interest for you to get back together. I feel like I read this differently than most the others (judging by the comments) But if you feel the same about your husband as you did for past exes then I think that part of your life may be done. I think the two of you need to sit down and talk about things, especially if you can at least be nice to each other. If you can't do that then it's definitely all in the past and you should both bite the bullet and get legally divorced so you can move on. I'm in hopes that (for your kids) you can be friendly to each other. It wouldn't do them any good for you to be together if you can't even get along. Being apart might, unfortunately, be best for your family. There are people who get along better when they aren't together. Good luck.
