Just following for the comments because I am so fascinated with this culture I love learning about it. 💕

My husband is pretty understanding and both of our parents live 5 mins away. We usually have iftar there at his moms so if needs to he can go there for iftar even if I decide to stay home. In my culture they don’t let a newly postpartum mom touch anything in the kitchen for the first 40 days so I had a lot of help with my first born. It being Ramadan I’m not expecting as much help this time around but we’ll see.

I had to delete my comment because I thought you meant if we were pregnant and fasting! 
If baby… my son was born last year in march so he was relatively new during Ramadan… I just carried him in a baby carrier when I cooked unless he was sleeping already… I just prepare suhoor for my husband the night before And he gets up and eats it and we pray together and sleep. I can’t eat suhoor because it makes me sick to eat and drink that early so go 24 hours with no food or drink 😅 
Iftaar I usually prepare 11am if it’s something that takes a lot of preparation and needs hours to cook like wara 3nab, labneye and all of that… the only things I will cook right before athaan goes off is obviously fatteh and foods that need to be eaten fresh and hot. But I don’t have trouble with my son. We either eat at his taytas or his mothers or an Aunty…. Or if I cook it’s just for him and my kids so I don’t have to cook a whole lot… and I just help out when we go to see his family… easy really. We will see what happens next year 😂 in’shaa’allah khier
