This might be a dumb question

Idk if I have an std or not yet I’m going to get tested. If I have an std and once it’s cleared can I get it again from wearing underwear I have even after washing? I was thinking of just buying all new once I was clean again but that’s so much money that I already don’t have. But would make me feel better idk
