If you’ve had a miscarriage, when you meet people and they ask about your children, do you mention your angel baby in some way?

I’m a mother of one living child, but I had a miscarriage in May. I feel funny about saying that my son is an only child, but at the same time, I miscarried at 6 weeks and only knew I was pregnant for 2 weeks. It also feels awkward to mention my miscarriage when I meet new people, but I don’t want to ignore my angel baby.

No I don't because I don't want to trigger anyone who has gone through similar. If someone asked specifically I would tell them but otherwise, no. I focus on the positive.

Yes, I do. My baby is part of my family no matter what. I've found that many people have lost a baby and no one talks about it. It gets a lot of people to open up and I get thanked a lot for giving them space to talk about their baby they also lost.

I personally would answer with the number of children I've had even if only one is living on earth. If someone questions further like "oh how old are they?" I'd say the age of the living child and simply say my other child is in heaven. Usually people don't question past that point and if they did you could chose to answer that they passed in the womb or you could simply say "I'm not comfortable talking about it."

We've had 6 miscarriages and no successful pregnancies so if it comes up I will say something but I don't usually bring it up. It's not something I like to talk about much but I also don't like the idea that they don't count if I don't say anything
