5 weeks and bleeding. Is this normal?

I miscarried last month and it began with light brown spotting. The bleeding progressed until it looked similar to your picture (I also miscarriages at 5 weeks). My advice would be hope for the best but prepare for the worse. If it is a miscarriage, it will take an incredible emotional toll, from my experience, so be kind to yourself and let those around you support you.

I just went through a loss, it started brown, then orangish like this an went pink then turned bright red and heavy this spanned for going on six days as I just passed it yesterday. Light bleeding is common in early pregnancy but keep a eye on it. I hope it's different for you ❤️❤️❤️

Bleeding in pregnancy is never normal. Bleeding in the first trimester is pretty common and often doesn't necessarily mean the worst case scenario. You should go get yourself checked out by your primary care - they may want to do blood work and scans etc to check you and the pregnancy.
But do keep in mind, it doesn't always signal a loss. (I've had 9 pregnancies total and have 6 living children - I had bleeding in 4 of the successful pregnancies in the first trimesters).

I personally would go in to be seen. Mine was this way at 5 weeks and I was miscarrying.
