No baby

I’m so sad, my man is 40 with no kids, I’m 27 and we still haven’t conceived... We’ve been together for three years, I completely stopped taking pregnancy tests because it would just break our hearts, because I’m so irregular. Went in to get checked by my obgyn. I mentioned well maybe I might have PCOS, she just looked at me, me thinking maybe that was my problem.. she just flat out said oh noooo I don’t think you have it. Never did tests or anything. I felt so discouraged! Gosh, I never considered going elsewhere or even bothered trying. I’m hoping God blessed us soon.
