induce period after taking maca root

anybody know of any natural ways to induce your period or even ovulation? i was taking maca root because i read it was good for fertility but it actually just made me not ovulate and now i’m cd 42. i looked into it and found manyyyyy people saying the same thing has happened to them. i stopped taking it a week ago but now am not sure what to do to get my period to come, it’s felt like i was gonna start it for literally over a week but it just hasn’t come. i saw some people had to go on birth control or take progesterone to induce a period but i’m kind of trying to avoid that because i react badly to hormonal birth control. any advice is appreciated 🤦🏻‍♀️
